THIS SHOW SHOULD BE ON EVERYONE’S MUST SEE LIST FOR THIS YEAR’S FRINGE."
Miranda Posse - Dedicated Fringe Reviewer
As soon as we found out this production was by Tomo Suru Players we could hardly wait to see it. Their show last time was the Dance Teacher and it was one of our top picks of the fringe. Trevor and Margaret lived up to it’s predecessor and then some. Sweet and juicy with a gritty underbelly that kept us rivited to the relationships the performers were creating. The complexity of this script is compelling and the actors are all tremendously talented and they elevated this boy meets girl, boy becomes a dick and loses girl to a whole new level. Witnessing the layers of the relationships building between Trevor and his father Glen and Margaret and Trevor and Margaret and Glen was an intense experience. This show should be on everyone’s must see list for this year’s fringe. https://mirandaposse.tumblr.com/
Is it better to love or be loved. Trevor and Margaret each have their point of view. But what we learn about Trevor, where his humour comes from, and what exactly is going on between him and his father Glen, well, all that leaves you to decide: Is it better to love or be loved?

Cast
Rylan Oleksyn as TREVOR
Rylan was born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan on Christmas Eve in 1992. He had a very athletic upbringing and you would be hard pressed to find a sport he hasn’t tried at some point. Since moving to Vancouver to pursue acting full time, Rylan has appeared in several commercials and independent films, including the Leo Award Nominated “Lions in Waiting” which he not only acted in but also choreographed all the on-ice hockey scenes for.
Maegen Eastwood as MARGARET
Maegen Eastwood is so thrilled to be joining this cast for her first production with Tomo Suru. She’s been acting and performing her whole life, most recently as Ann in Slow Dancing (Surrey Little Theatre) and Mother Fairy in Sleeping Beauty (Vagabond Players). She also works in film and voiceovers. When she isn’t working (which is pretty much never), she’s hanging out with her adorable dog Zig and even more adorable husband Matthew.
Bill Croft as GLEN
A native of Vancouver, Bill Croft, has done it all: film, tv and theatre. With credits appearing on IMDB as early as 1986 and steadily continuing to the present there are a lot of great moments to choose from. Bill was a graduate of Burnaby Central High before finishing the Studio 58 Langara program. Bill splits his time between acting and working with a landscaping company. He is looking forward to the challenge of live theatre.
